Because of scheduled water releases from Harris Station dam, everything comes together on a regular basis to make the Kennebec River THE most popular Maine white water rafting trip! You will experience the best "big water" FUN that you can find anywhere. In fact, Kennebec River rafting adventures are so exciting, you'll be "wearing" a HUGE smile as you power through waves up to 13-feet high. What to expect on Your Kennebec River Rafting Trip with North Country Rivers:
Big waves - Big Whitewater - Big Fun!!! But NO experience is necessary!
Single day trips available (great for families, Boy and
Girl Scout troops, other youth groups, college groups and even corporate groups).
Dam controlled white water releases guaranteed every
day (April through October).
Rapids range from class 2-4+ (on a 1-6 scale).
TURBINE TEST RELEASE DATES 2013 - June 15, July 8, September
7, and September 21. Maximum whitewater
river flow means MAXIMUM FUN !!
Meeting location - North Country Rivers on National Scenic Byway , Route 201, 36 Main St - Bingham, Maine 04920 at 9:00 A.M. (see Maine
Map and Directions pages). We recommend checking in 30 minutes prior to the meeting time. Trips do not wait for late arrivals. No refunds, credits or transfers for late arrivals.
Minimum age - standard trips is 8 years. Minimum age
for Turbine Test releases is 12. Children 5 - 8 years or individuals that do not want to raft class 4 whitewater, may join
the trip at the half-way point (where the river is calmer; lunch is included with the half-river trip).
North Country Rivers also offers Sport Rafts. Theses boats are smaller than our regular rafts, and provide a more "dynamic ride". We offer both four and six person sport boats.
