From Southern Maine: Follow I-95 North until you reach the Medway (Exit 244). Follow Rt. 157 through East Millinocket to Millinocket, you will come to an intersection with the First Congregational Church (274 Katahdin Ave - Millinocket, Maine 04462) straight ahead, take a right at this intersection, then follow signs to Baxter State Park (You will not enter the Park). Approximately 8 miles North of Millinocket you will see the "Big Moose Inn"-"North Woods Trading Post" on your right. A REDUCE SPEED sign precedes the Inn on the right. Once you pull into the Big Moose Inn, you will see our base camp on the left. The Big Moose Inn is our meeting location for all Penobscot River Trips. The phone number to the Big Moose Inn is (207) 723-8391. North Country Rivers office is (800) 348-8871. We are located on the Baxter State Park Road - Millinocket, Maine 04462. The closest accurate GPS address is The First Congregational Church (274 Katahdin Ave - Millinocket, Maine 04462) then follow directions above. |
